Hello! I am Olga, I am 30, and I love to knit. (And crochet, too!). Also I am ignia on Ravelry.
After a recent database crash or something (don’t ask for I have no answer, I am not good at this “web programming” stuff) this blog became empty, and I choose not to try to recover it but simply start over. The “magic kick” to finally do this was… knitting.
See, one of my colleagues, Daria, has been bugging me with “My ears are cold!” mantra since I’ve presented her with a pair of mittens. Well, she is one of the knit-worthy people around me, so I promised her a headband and started to look for a perfect pattern. Guess what? I found it! Julia’s Cabled Headband Pattern by Paulina Chin. The link will take you to Paulina’s blog, the pattern is published there. Paulina gave beautifully written instructions, but I am a kind of knitter who prefers working from chart, so I’ve made one. This link should take you to the PDF file (and you’ll need a free Acrobat Reader to read it), but please remember that it is not a complete pattern and visit Paulina’s blog for all the info and have fun!
Almost forgot. You can see what the finished headband looks like on the picture up there ↑.
Hi, I am Olga. I am 30. I like to knit. I am not just copying you, I am telling the truth!
No kidding! I am sibknitter on Ravelry.
Hi Olga, nice to meet you!
Thank you for making a chart of this pattern. It was really nice of you and I will very much appreciate it when I start knitting the headband!
I’m WriterLisaDale on Ravelry.
Good things,
Lisa
Hi Lisa,
Please let me know (here or on Ravelry) if you encounter any problems with the chart. Good luck with knitting!
Olga.
Olga~
What a beautiful chart of this pattern. Thank you so much for sharing it! What software did you use to make it. I am looking for a software system for charting my patterns. Thanks!
Eve
Hello Eve,
I didn’t use any special software: it’s MS Excel table made with Aire River Knitting Font (link) and printed into pdf.
Good luck!
Olga
